A man stands at her front door. Soaking wet and unexpected. She isn’t surprised. He is older. She has grown-up. But he is not ready to admit that she’s no longer the girl, the princess, he left behind. He needs somewhere to stay and she is all he’s got. It’s been a long time and she doesn’t need him anymore.
